Second Chance strives to manage the homeless pet population and serve our communities in many ways. Providing assistance for spay and neuters is central to that strategy. Here are three programs offered to help ensure pets and community cats are altered and not reproducing.
Our low cost clinics provide spay and neuter services to the pets of residents in our service region. We are working with veterinarians in our area to provide this service. Please contact the shelter at 970-626-2273 for more information and to make an appointment.
Vouchers for Ouray and San Miguel County residents provide a discount from the retail price at local participating veterinarian’s offices. If you are a Montrose County resident contact us for information on obtaining a voucher in that County.
