Second Chance strives to humanely address pet overpopulation and serve our community members in many ways. Providing assistance for affordable spay/ neuters is central to that strategy. Here are two programs offered to help ensure pets and community cats are altered and not reproducing.
As part of our Community Medical Program we provide low cost spay/neuter to the tri-county region of Montrose, Ouray & San Miguel Counties. These income-based services take place at the onsite Medical Clinic at our Ridgway Shelter.
Contact us at 970-626-2273 for more information and to make an appointment.
We participate in and coordinate a Trap Neuter and Release Program for the humane control of feral cat populations. Click here for more info on TNR.
