Casper & Arvin

Ok I will admit it. I was amazing. For those who missed the first ever Furry Flicks & Fashion last weekend in Ridgway (which was a great success by the way!) you missed out on me leading the shelter dog line in the dog fashion show. I nailed it. And being deaf really gave me an advantage for a change. I could feel the music but it didn’t bother me one bit. It was a super fun night, I rocked it, but I still need a home so keep reading…

Here was my bio that was shown before my Furry Flicks debut:

Casper is our 9 month young Bull mix sweetheart. He is a loving and lovable boy who adores people, particularly kids, and loves to play with other dogs as well. Casper was born deaf, however he is super smart and is quickly learning hand signals and good manners.

He has participated in our Pets Turning Pages Program and has been helping the students at Ridgway Elementary School with building confidence and enjoyment in reading out loud. Casper would love a family of his own – but until then he is looking for a sponsor…

This information was presented right before I came out for the event’s live auction where I was the featured “sponsor a pet”. I raised $400 towards my own care here at Second Chance. And that was even before I was also the star of the Furry Fashion Show.

So yes, I can now list “Famous SuperModel” to my resume on top of “mentor for young new readers”. But somehow I have still not been hired to be someone’s lifelong companion and mood booster. Please come interview me today at Second Chance.

Furry felines more your thing? Well the other special needs pet featured during the live auction was Arvin. Here was his bio:

Arvin has been waiting for over 2 years (half of his life) for his forever home...longer than any other current Second Chance pet. This is far too long for any pet to have to wait for a new family.

Arvin had a rough start to life resulting in arthritis. He has good and bad days. On bad days he finds that CBD oil and pain meds make him feel much better…Arvin just needs a nice quiet, cozy home and a person or two to cuddle with. Until we can find that for him he is looking for a sponsor…

Call Second Chance today to learn more about sponsoring a shelter pet and to learn more about adopting either me or Arvin. Don’t waste another day without the love of your lives…
