Lu Anne Tyrrell, Philanthropy Officer

Colorado native Lu Anne Tyrrell brings passion and professional expertise as she joins the leadership team of Second Chance as Philanthropy Officer. “I am delighted to become a member of the skilled and energetic leadership team of a committed animal welfare organization like Second Chance”.

Lu Anne’s passion for animals and their welfare has been life-long, comprised of years as a volunteer with a variety of animal welfare organizations, and work on a number of animal-related causes. Lu Anne also values the time she has spent fostering rescued animals.

Over the years Lu Anne’s professional experience has included public and private sector stakeholder relationships, sponsorship and donor procurement for Montrose’s first Main Street program, marketing and public relations. She has integrated her creative talent in design and photography with numerous commercial clients. Lu Anne attended Northern Arizona University where her emphasis was on commercial art and advertising.

Long active in the community, Lu Anne serves as a board member of the Friends of the Ute Indian Museum, and, until recently, served as a committee member of the Montrose Animal Protection Association.

In addition, she contributes her time and talent to various local non- profit organizations. A talented free-lance artist and photographer, she enjoys traveling and snowshoeing in Colorado’s scenic backcountry seeking to share the natural beauty of Colorado in her art.
