Kevin moved to Ridgway in 2007, with his wife Linda, from Evergreen CO. They met at the University of Colorado in 1972 (even though they had attended the same Junior High School in New Jersey) and have been married for 46 years. They have two married children and four grandchildren who they love spending time with.
Before retiring, Kevin worked in the aerospace industry, spending over 25 years at Lockheed Martin developing planetary spacecraft for the JPL/NASA. His final position was Program Manager of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, launched in 2005 and still orbiting Mars, returning incredible science data from six different instruments (check out Magnificent Mars on YouTube for a 2.5 minute slideshow developed by the JPL).
In addition to his activities with SCHS, Kevin has been a member of the BoD for the Mount Sneffels Education Foundation and the BoD of the Fairway Pines HOA. He has given presentations at many local area schools regarding his career in space exploration, as well as at the Sherbino. He has spoken twice at the Ridgway High School National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. He loves to play golf and snorkel, which led to the purchase of a second residence on the beach in West Bay, Roatan, Honduras.
