Lawrence "Doc" McReynolds, MD, a major Second Chance donor and volunteer, joined the board at the end of 2013 after recently retiring as a neuropharmacologist, and thus freed to devote more time toward his passion for animals. He was recently overheard stating, "well that is what money is for...to spend on animals".
Because Doc is not good at sitting still his "retirement" is also partially devoted to being a Life Coach but he is delighted to have more time now for his other passion as a mountain climber and ski mountaineer.
Doc has always been a true shaker and mover for the greater good and has served on various non-profit boards, including the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society.
Doc's home is filled with the fur and fun of 3 dogs and 2 cats - all of which are rescues. He has been in Ouray County for 18 years with his wife Judy who is a nurse and devoted animal rescuer on the various Reservations she has worked on over the years.
We are very grateful to have Doc as part of the Second Chance Leadership, he is truly dedicated to supporting the goals and mission of Second Chance!
